Yolanda Orozco is a judge on the Los Angeles Superior Court. She started her legal career as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and later joined the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Los Angeles. She then spent more than 20 years in private practice as a business litigator, handling complex commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts across the country. In private practice, she also represented clients in federal grand jury investigations and other white collar criminal matters. She currently serves on the board of the Mexican American Bar Foundation and is a recent past president of the Federal Bar Association, Los Angeles chapter. Before becoming a judge, Ms. Orozco was a Commissioner on the Los Angeles Planning Commission and a member of Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Judicial Selection Committee.
