Katayoon Majd – Katayoon joined the Foundation in 2010 and serves as a Program Officer for Criminal and Juvenile Justice, focusing on juvenile justice issues. She previously worked as a senior staff attorney at the National Juvenile Defender Center, where she coordinated a national initiative to ensure fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth in delinquency courts. As a staff attorney at the Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC, Katayoon represented youth in child welfare cases. And as a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California, she specialized in racial justice litigation and advocacy.
