JusticeAid Public Forum: Indefensible
Partner Hosted

Indefensible: April 15, 2019 6pm -8pm

Join JusticeAid and Immigrant Defense Project in a conversation about how detention and deportation is causing deep harm to our communities. Learn how to fight back against the violence of criminalization, and for the rights of immigrants at the intersection of the criminal and immigrant systems.

“Indefensible: Immigrants Trapped by the Criminalization of the Immigration Process” will present multiple perspectives on ICE raids, detention, deportations, immigration detention, and mass incarceration.

Immigrant Defense Project Deputy Director Mizue Aizeki will moderate a panel of experts including Alina Das, NYU Law Professor; Jonathan Jayes-Green, Co-founder and Director of the UndocuBlack Network; and Alejandra Pablos, activist and immigrant leader facing deportation.

This educational forum—offered free and open to the public—is organized by JusticeAid in support of IDP’s efforts to end the vilification of immigrants and the violence of detention and deportation that is causing deep harm to our communities. A music benefit with Los Lobos will take place the following evening, April 16th, at The Hamilton in Washington, DC. Learn more about the Forum, the Music Benefit, and JusticeAid’s 2019 beneficiary at JusticeAid.org.

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, but reservations are required and tickets will be reserved on a first come, first served basis: http://ow.ly/wpK150mKMB2
