Susan Dobbertin joined the Foundation in 2026 as the Office Manager.
She brings more than 15 years of administrative experience in the Washington, D.C. area, having previously worked as office manager and accountant at Forest Trends Association, a conservation nonprofit. Prior to that, she was an officer manager for ECODIT LLC, an international development organization. Other work experience includes positions with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, the Smithsonian Institute, and other organizations primarily focused on combatting invasive plant species and supporting wildlife management.
Susan earned a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies at Warren Wilson College, where she furthered her passions for community service and environmental stewardship.
