Public Welfare Foundation Announces New Grants

The Board of Directors of Public Welfare Foundation approved $4 million in grants, including $500K for the Justice Reform portfolio and $3.5 million for the Special Opportunity portfolio.

Here are the eight organizations that are receiving grants:

South

Justice Reform – Georgia

Southern Center for Human Rights – Atlanta, GA – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support for statewide policy advocacy and to strengthen the coalition of organizations advancing justice reform in Georgia.

 

Special Opportunity

75th Anniversary: True Reformer Award

Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition– Denver, CO – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to strengthen CCJRC’s operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Michigan Center for Youth Justice – Ann Arbor, MI – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to strengthen Michigan Center for Youth Justice’s operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Hmong American Women’s Association – Milwaukee, WI – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to the African American Roundtable in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to strengthen its operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Social & Environmental Entrepreneurs – Calabasas, CA – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to Women on The Rise in Atlanta, Georgia to strengthen its operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Operation Restoration – New Orleans, LA – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to strengthen Operation Restoration’s operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Highlander Research and Education Center – New Market, TN – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to People’s Advocacy Institute in Jackson, Mississippi to strengthen its operating and programmatic infrastructure.

Voices for a Second Chance – Washington, D.C. – ($500,000– 2 years)
Support to strengthen Voices for a Second Chance’s operating and programmatic infrastructure.
